The client
WineBarrel is an antique wines auction site that allows our client and their registered members to list and buy exclusive antique wines in an auction format.

The client approached us to take over this project after having developed their own site in Joomla, knowing that they had not followed all the standards.
The solution
The first thing we did when taking over the project was putting the project in version control, re-developed a completely new Joomla component and migrated the codebase to use the correct MVC (Model View Controller) structure. We optimized the performance of the site and security as well as increased quality assurance by implementing unit testing. The project is ongoing, and we are continually improving features and functionalities according to the client’s requirements.
